Creative industries and tourism
The cultural code of the Tambov region and other regions of Russia. We discuss the multinational nature of the Russian Federation, as well as trends in tourism and creative industries.
Culture and art
A territory of ideas, creativity, and cultural practices. A space for exploring the cultural values of the peoples of Russia.
The Youth of Russia
A direction for those who want to influence processes and make decisions. We discuss public administration, leadership, and regional development. We promote traditional Russian values.
Education and science
A space for teachers, educators, and researchers. Education as the driving force of the future, science as a tool for development - we discuss approaches, values, and challenges.
International Friendship Club
Dialogue of national cultures. We are developing a regional International Friendship Club.

The city of Tambov
Tambov was founded by decree of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov in 1636 by Roman Fedorovich Boborykin, the Tsar's Stolnik and Shatsky Voivode, as a stronghold of the Moscow State in the Wild Field region.
The city of Kotovsk
Kotovsk is home to Russia's only tumbler factory, where these toys are made using a unique technique. The head and body of the doll are cut out of the material as a whole and then attached to each other. In addition to classic tumblers, the Tambov region also produces tumblers in the form of bears, hares, and other animals.
The city of Michurinsk
Michurinsk is a garden city and the apple capital of Russia. In 2003, Michurinsk became the first agricultural science city in Russia. This is because Michurinsk seamlessly combines two aspects of its existence: the merchant and the scientific, which give the city a unique character.
Ecology
In the spring of 2025, the Tambov Region was among the top ten leaders in the National Environmental Rating of Russian Regions, taking 5th place.
Industry
In 2024, the Tambov Region took first place among the regions of the Central Federal District (CFD) and was included in the top ten of the country's best regions in the Industrial Policy Efficiency Rating compiled by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
National composition
More than 100 nationalities live in the Tambov region: Russians, Armenians, Roma, Tatars, Azerbaijanis, Yazidis, Belarusians, etc. Of the total population, 97% are Russians.
Tourism
There are more than 1,300 cultural heritage sites in the region, including 120 Orthodox churches, 9 monasteries, and about 30 noble estates. In 2002, the cities of Tambov, Michurinsk, Morshansk, and Kirsanov were included in the list of historical cities in Russia. There are 16 regional and municipal museums in the Tambov region, as well as 50 departmental museums. The region also has 16 types of artistic crafts. Cycling, car touring, horse riding, hunting, fishing, and geocaching are popular activities in the region. The Tambov Regional Museum of Local Lore is a large museum.
About the Tambov region
The flag of the Tambov Region is a rectangular flag consisting of two equal vertical stripes of red and blue, and a double-sided image of the coat of arms of the Tambov Region in its full version with a crown and an order ribbon. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is two to three. The overall width of the coat of arms on the flag is 1/6 of the flag's length.

The full version of the Tambov Region's coat of arms features a blue shield with a silver beehive and three silver bees above it. The shield is adorned with the Order of Lenin ribbon, and a golden land crown is placed above it. The bees represent hard work and frugality, the beehive symbolizes unity, the blue field represents purity, honesty, loyalty, and perfection, and silver represents nobility, justice, and generosity.
